Hello August!
It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into the last full month of summer! August always feels like a little bit of both worlds — soaking up those last summer days while starting to get excited about cozy fall projects, new fabrics, and more time at the sewing machine.
We have lots happening at Little Sandy’s this month, including a new lineup of classes, a sale on patterns, panels and thread, and an important update to our shop hours beginning Monday, August 17th.
We hope you’ll stop in, say hello, find a little inspiration, and maybe start something new with us this month!
New Store Hours Beginning August 17th
We're making a small change to our shop hours due to our daughters' school schedules. Beginning August 17th, we will be closing at 3:00 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The rest of our hours will remain the same.

Sunday, August 9, 2026 - 11am to 3pm Learn the techniques to create beautiful fabric bows you'll enjoy making all year long! In this class, you'll make a stunning fall-themed patchwork bow, but the skills you learn can easily be used to create bows for Christmas, spring, summer, patriotic holidays, birthdays, baby showers, weddings and more! Once you know the process, you'll be able to customize them for every season and celebration. The best part is you'll discover the magic of fusible grid! This incredible product makes creating perfectly aligned patchwork surprisingly easy and takes the guesswork out of matching seams. Saturday, August 22, 2026 - 10:30am to 2:30pm Get wrapped up in Halloween fun with this adorable Paper Pieced Mummy Pillow! In this confident beginner class, you'll learn the magic of foundation paper piecing as we create a mummy with the cutest oversized eyes that is sure to make you smile. If paper piecing has been on your quilting bucket list, this is the perfect project to build your confidence. You'll leave class with new skills you can use again and again while creating a festive pillow that's perfect for decorating your home each Halloween. Thursday, August 27, 2026 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm Discover the magic of the Burrito Pillowcase! Once you learn this clever technique, you'll be amazed at how quickly and beautifully you can create pillowcases for every season, holiday, gift or special occasion. In this fun, confidence building class, you'll learn the popular magic burrito method that neatly encloses all the seams for a professional finish, it's one of those sewing techniques you'll use again and again! Cost: $ 30.00
Classes are open to all skill levels unless otherwise noted, and our classroom is a welcoming place to learn, create, and enjoy being part of our quilting community.
Spots are filling up quickly, so be sure to register early! And if a class is full, don't forget to add your name to the waitlist—we often have openings or will add a second class!
OPEN SEW - We also have Open Sew sessions available on Fridays from 10am - 5pm OR call us to schedule on any other day we have open with a few of your quilt besties for a fun day of sewing together in our quilt shop!
